President's Message

On behalf of the Tallahassee Music Teachers Association, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all new and returning members. I am honored to serve as the TMTA president for the 2022-2024 term. The TMTA is affiliated with the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and the Florida State Music Teachers Association (FMTA), and we are committed to its mission: to advance the value of music study and music making to society and to support the professionalism of music teachers. The TMTA has been a helpful resource to me ever since I relocated to Tallahassee in 2016, and it is my hope that you will benefit from this organization as much as I have. Involvement in our programs, events, and meetings helps us all to become better teachers so that our students can shine their brightest as lifelong musicians.
